Our Staff

Bill Taylor - General Manager
Bill

A gentle giant of a guy who brings 22 years experience to the table, Bill brings a straightforward approach to communicating service and repair needs with customers. His customers love him for his honesty and ability to provide clear concise courses of action while at the same time providing options for customers to choose from. Bill is phenomenal with the techs and really has an excellent gift for shop management. We are blessed to have Bill taking Mark’s place up front so that Mark can get some ‘management’ done.

Terry Bradford - Shop Foreman
Terry

Terry brings 41 (that’s right fortyone!) years of experience as a multiple recertified ASE master Technician, and l1 and G2 Certifications also. ( The guy should be teaching this stuff!) We have recently brought Terry up to the counter from working the line and shop foreman position that he held for years. Terry's technical experience and down home folksy approach have endeared him to customers of all ages. Here's a funny but true fact: When Terry started in the business in 1969, he was 17 years old, managing the White Front gas station on Florin Road in Sacramento, California. Mark ( the owner) would see Terry when his Dad would gas up the family’s 66 Beetle - on a side note gas was 26.9 cents per gallon during those legendary gas wars of the day!

Ray Smithson - Parts Manager
Ray

Ray brings almost 20 years of experience in both parts and service. His forte is in the parts dept and he prides himself on obtaining the best sources for original equipment quality parts with the best guarantee for our customers. Ray always tries to get the best value in parts which usually involves not just the price but the length of the warranty the part carries.

Rick
Chris

Rick is a former Marine (I know there's no such thing as an ex-Marine) and former tech. Rick brings 17 years of experience and possesses a strong background in theory and practice. Rick writes service and assists Bill at the service counter.

Lawrence
Lawrence

Lawrence is a long time Technician who specializes in all aspects of undercar. It sounds like I’m pumping my guys up, but I really appreciate what each member brings to the table. Lawrence is a phenomenal line tech and he is in his wheel house when it comes to heavy line work. Whether it’s a Porsche engine/trans tansplant or a Lexus RX 300 engine replacement, simply put he is the best R & R tech we have ever seen – bar none !

Dave
Dave

Dave and Mark go back to 1981 at the local VW dealership. They worked together and have known each other for almost 30 years. Dave is strong in theory with excellent general knowledge about Domestic, Asian and European vehicles. He is an early VW enthusiast who has extensive knowledge on carbureted cars - at the time of this writing he is engaged to a very rare Lamborghini Islero undergoing carburetor and distributor work.

Scott
Scott

Scott brings 12 years of experience to the mix. He is a phenom when it comes to European vehicles and his sunny disposition and engaging demeanor makes him a fun guy to work around. He’s always willing to take the time to answer questions or clarify the logic behind a recommendation or procedure to technically minded customers when needed.

Chris
Bart

While Chris is only in his early thirties, he was essentially a "garage-rat", being raised in the automotive culture. As such he is way more experienced than most techs his age. Chris is strong diagnostically and brings a wealth of Asian, Domestic, and recent European experience also.

Mike
Mike

Mike brings over 25 years of experience with high end imported and domestic vehicles as well and he is a prince of a guy who is always willing to help or lend a hand. Sounds like a cliché but he really does take pride in his work.
(Plus his tool box is so big it has it's own zip code!)

Frank
John

Frank is our facilities manager and has been in the industry for many years.

Ricky
Byron

One of our "new breed" techs who brings a wide range of experience from his restoration background to late model domestic and recent european experience. (On a side note, Ricky was in my 1st pre-school graduating class...but Mark won't say how long ago that actually was.)
